Looks wonderful, but why kill trees for cars, when the oceans are full of plastic waste?

Also, traffic causes a lot of damage every year, all those damaged cars will need more trees to be killed.
Trees, those wonderful plants that give us clean air.
Metal is still a good and fairly easy to recycle material, scrap it, melt it, shape it.
It would be good to see some studies on the environmental impact of recycling vs tree growing.
How many trees do you need to kill to keep 1 car on the road for about 20 years or so. (yes THAT long)
how much energy does it take to melt metal?
how much energy for platic?
how much energy to grow and trees and how much TIME to regrow that forrest to be sustainable?
