Cycling the valley trail today, into the rhythm and into the moment - I thought of the skies and stars above, and the geological layers below. Contemplating the stratas up to a mile deep - or in peering into the cosmos - to the blue sky and the stars beyond - ....
In either direction: we look backwards in time.
What do the photos of early snow on "the Wedge" , or atop Whistler Mountain have to do with this? They, like the act of cycling - with a little reflective quiet, can be realized as being in the present. Our present propelled by the past, become the "now". Might we all stop our busy-ness and feel our present, make it our awareness, our now, our eternal link from the past to the unknown.
