A 21-year-old Brazilian model who lost her left leg has become an Instagram sensation thanks to support from hundreds of thousands of fans and an air of inspiration surrounding her.
Paola Antonini lost her leg in 2014 after being hit by a drunken driver in a car accident , Her leg was crushed, and despite four attempts to save the leg, it was decided that her leg needed to be amputated at the knee. While Antonini started learning to walk again, she was advised by medical professionals that she should have a second amputation, cutting off her leg to above the knee,
Since losing her leg, the model has decided to flaunt what she’s working with on Instagram, and she’s gained more than 620,000 followers on the popular social media app.
