Every Day Is A Special Occasion

in #inspiration7 years ago
Good evening friends!

If you've seen my post that I published earlier today - SATURDAY CHILL, maybe you noticed a red candle on the picture.

I found that candle yesterday while I was cleaning the storage space in our family home. I bought the candle in Switzerland for my mom. That was almost two years ago. My mom put it away because she felt sorry to burn the candle!
I was like What?!
But that's how my mom is and how I was for a long time. She would always keep some clothing pieces for those "special occasions". Or some pretty stuff that end up collecting dust somewhere in a closet/storage.

So I took the damn candle and burned it last night! :D And tonight as well! It looks so pretty and the smell is divine! That's what it's made for and that's why I bought it at first place.

I think that we should treat every day on this planet as a special occasion, because we never know how long this life will last. We can't bring back the past and the future is not guaranteed so all we have is right here and right now. Those "special occasions" might never come. All we can do is be grateful for seeing another day and get the best out of it!

With that being said, I know that we all (or at least most of us) still have a few of those items that are waiting for a "special occasion"? I would love to hear what is yours! :) Mine are a few pieces of clothing, jewelry and shoes, mostly because my everyday style is casual but sometimes I like to dress up for an event, party, wedding...

Thank you!

Thanks for sharing with us good vibes! All the best for you!

Thank you, same for you! :)

The same for me and mostly I forget of those items that are waiting for a "special occasion" :D

Oh no, haha! :D
That happens to my mom all the time!

Great mindset! I'm still working on it myself, cause there's a lot of stuff I'm saving for that 'special situation'.

Thank you!
It took me a while to get there. The feeling is so liberating!
It all started when I discovered minimalism so I would suggest to look into it for some help and motivation. Good luck! :)

I'm familiar with the concept of minimalism, it's just that I haven't fully applied it yet. :) I even remember your excellent post on that topic some time ago.

Yay, I'm so happy to hear that!
I will write more about it since it's something I'm starting to get really passionate about! :)

Great motivation.

Thank you so much! :)
