Away from poetry and fiction, I thought it wise to ink down my thoughts and ideas on something a little different from my usual routine. I have oftentimes love to write and it's like fire burning in my bones.Consequently, I came through this one title: DAVID'S PORTION "71.

THE KING JAMES VERSION: PSALM 71:21
Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

The steemit online social network community have created an amazing platform where steemians are privileged to share their ideas and thoughts on any preferred area of interest.

In here, David, a one time King of Israel poured out his sincere prayer to God as expressed succinctly in the above mentioned verse.

THE INSIGHT WITH PETER
Isn't it weird to have realise that our creator can cause or show us trouble and in his power bring us up again? Isn't it interesting, how God uses life circumstances to draw us back to himself at will?

However, it is important to note that in as much as life is concern, challenges and troubles are inevitable and in our ability to react to them measure the strength of our faith. God allow certain predicament happen to us to make us aware that only him God is the solution provider, to return us back to him and to prove that he himself is God.

Bringing the verse home, many times, we have been faced with multiple of trouble, forlorns and life turbulence to an extent we doubt if God really exist. He does exist and still exist. He is the one in charge and controller of the universe. He knows our flaws and how much well he can relate to man to back man back to himself. As a matter of man, the way God works is entirely different form the everyday life of man including afflicting troubles to show himself.

Hence, David hinted expressly on this part that "HE" GOD shows him David (anyone more like paraphrasing now); great troubles. Which implies that God allow somewhat kind of challenges to occur to us as we could see in the case of Job in the Bible, the Children of Israel and lots more. think about this, if there wasn't sickness you wouldn't have known that God is a healer (that doesn't mean that God is the source of sickness never, he is not) get me right in my point. If people weren't poor, we wouldn't have acknowledged that God is the one who gives power to have wealth. You can go on and on.

Furthermore, I have realise that this context of the verse not only reveals God's supremacy but to subject mankind to depend on trust in him. He (God) had in several occasions employed situations where God's people had to turn back to God for rescuing.
In the older days, God could allow war befall his people and at the end of it all they realise God is the source of victory.

Interestingly, the verse concludes by saying thus"...shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth..." That's what his faithfulness can do and only God can do this. To sum up my point, God had loved us to dear to himself that he requires our totality to him. To please him to do what he thinks for us and everything that concerns us; faith, trust are one of the key factors.

I once use to have bible classes with some jehovah witnesses and I asked them this question "why does God allow evil things happen to man if he loves us so much?".... I guess this article answers that question.

This is powerful and evident it has come from the deepest parts of you... Well done bro

Peter...u know at times i do wonder if actually God loves us that he allows certain things to happen to us (humans), we see de rich glow in fine clothings but still cries indepth, but de poor living happy and having fullfillment in some part of thier lifes, although the financial aspect will still hold a string...but we (humans )are sometimes yet to discover that just like the coming of every season with a purpose, the challenges we face comes with a purpose....welldone my friend.....
WILL KEEP FRIENDING YOU TILL I BECOME BETTER THAN YOU

God loves us, He is forever faithful and just in times of turbulence all he expects from us is to call upon Him, some people do otherwise they complain, nag and question Him, yes some call upon Him and he doesnt show up at that time, but I always have the belief that our God is never late.

God never promised us as christians that we wont have those trouble times, our reaction at that time defines our faith as christians.

I like the dimension of this post.
I know he loves us but sometimes I wonder why terrible, I mean terrible things that can tear us Still come on us making us want to question Him...

Yeah.
God is the creator of heaven and earth, he does things in his own way. He can decide to bring down anyone and also lift them up at his will.

Woah

Hi Peter, where do you get inspiration from, when it comes to writing? Your writeup is unique!

Why bad things happen to good people? I don't know if anyone has an answer to this without contradictions. Cos, some end up losing their lives. It hurts you know. But He is a faithful father, and He knows the best for us all. We just need to make Him first in our lives.

Peterwrites never stop writing!

In answer to your question on why bad things happen to good people? Generally, few of such situations are in accordance with the will of God. God has a way of making bad things work for the good of the righteous. He said in his word that he will not suffer the righteous to see corruption. A case study of the life of Job as we can witness in the Bible. Again, following the fact that bad things happen to good people, severally; few or many may not understand, ignorance also constitute to it, self righteous and religiousness as well. Above all, God requires faith, wisdom, grace and mercy to move his thoughts for our good. There are situations as well where strange things like death happen and you wonder why God would permit. In that case God knows best.

MANY SOURCES ARE MY INSPIRATION!

In addition to your amazing piece, i would love to say that the way we approach situations and challenges we face in life is what makes us a better person. Loving God isn't just loving him in times of prosperity but also embracing him when we know there is no way out. Sometimes we feel, God's presence isn't with us but that's not true. Sometimes God leaves few traces of his presence just to test our faith. Which brings us back to how we approach life challenging issues. I love your piece and it has inspired me.

Wao!, this is ingenuity in manifestation, weldone bro

I am inspired man. Nice write up.

Good work, original and unique!!! thank you for share! bravo.
