Putting things into Perspective and being Grateful for life!

So, here it comes. You see it coming. You know it's coming because it's been here before, and this is the route that it takes. A bad day. But by now you're used to having bad days, because they seem to be all you ever have any more. Ever since that one big event happened, probably a long time ago, and you decided that nothing was ever going to make you happy again. Go ahead, fill in the blank, yours is different than everyone else's. You see the days with a sense of gloom, because you think that nothing will ever be the same again. You can't trust people anymore because he said he loved you just two months before he dumped you. You don't work hard anymore, because your temporary boss at your temporary job never rewards you and always seems to find something wrong with all the work you do. You don't try to make things work with your mom anymore, because she doesn't understand you anyway.

Whatever your situation is, the universal fact is that you are missing one KEY ingredient in this cake. You're missing the one component of reality that just so happens to be the difference between mud and gold, vegetables and chocolate cake:

There are people, right now, in YOUR city's hospitals, begging for YOUR life. Your boyfriend just broke up with you, your mom kicked you out of the house, you're living on the streets because your best friends decided to disown you, and your college just called your cell phone that's about to be disconnected and left a message saying that they made a mistake, and that you were actually rejected admission, and they didn't mean to send you an acceptance letter, huh? No problem, they still want YOUR life.

They just want to see tomorrow. They would trade with you in a second. I'm willing to bet that most of you aren't living that type of life, and that things aren't that bad for anyone. How much more do you think that the people in the hospital are begging for what YOU have every waking moment that they have left? They know they won't wake up tomorrow. They know that. But still they beg. They beg God, they beg the doctors, they beg their friends and family, to do something and help them see another day. And you're complaining about life?

Where are the people who are that are willing say "I'm done with depression, I'm done with fear, discouragement, feeling sorry for myself, done with blaming other people for my mistakes, done with every single mindset that keeps me in the pits of depression and out of the bright and beautiful light, that we call Life."
We're all going to love our life sooner or later. We can either love it peacefully and happily now while we're living it, and leave no regrets, refuse to fear doing something that we want to do so bad that we don't do it,and "make every moment big, no matter how small it is", and love our lives now, or we can be the people who scream on their death beds, "No! NO! It can't be over yet, just a little more time please, let me enjoy my life! Because it's too late then! We have to do it NOW! Life wasn't meant to be enjoyed in the future - the present wasn't meant to be opened later. Every day and breath of air that we have and live and breathe is a gift straight from Heaven to be rejoiced over, shouted about, and loved!

My question to you is, will you love your life now, with carefree enjoyment, or will you love life out of hopeless desperation after you realized you made a big mistake; will your final words be "I had fun here! Let's see what's next!" or "Just a little longer, please! Now that I know that life is really fragile, and short, and I didn't know that before, I want to go and enjoy mine. I don't want to have wasted the gift of God of a beautiful new day!! Give me another chance!"? Because it's too late then. We can't live beyond our days, so we might as well live with gratitude for them, right?
