Once a father and son went to the kite festival to enjoy some kite flying. The young son was very fascinated while watching the large colorful kites flying all over the sky. He too asked his father to buy a kite for him and help him to fly it. So, the son and father started to fly a kite. After a while, the son said -
"Father! It seems the thread is holding the kite from flying higher. What if we break it and let the kite fly as much higher as it can?"
The father smiled for a while, and then cut the thread. The kite started to go a little higher for a while, and then come down to the land. The son was very happy to went the kite a higher for a while, but then he became disappointed to see that the kite came down on the land. He asked his father -
"Father! I thought that the kite will fly higher after cutting the thread, but why did it fall down after a while?"
The father smiled and replied - "Son, at the height of life that we live in, we often think that some things are holding us back and preventing us from going further higher. However, sometimes this connection is mandatory. The thread was preventing not holding the kite from going higher, but it was helping it to stay higher. But when we cut the thread, then it fell down without any support."
Sometimes we all people have same feelings like that child. We think that we can progress quickly and reach to the newer heights in our life if we were not tied up with our family and the rules of our parents. But then, we fall to realize that our family, our loved ones help us surviving the tough time in our lives with their support and encourage us to reach higher heights in our life.
THEY ARE NOT HOLDING US BACK, BUT ARE SUPPORTING US. SO, NEVER LET GO OF THEM.

No! I didn't write it. Actually this is a story taken from a newspaper. Thank you for the advice. I've forgotten to add the credit.
Is it mandatory to give image credit, since this is a creative commons image free to use?
