Description of the Technology
The internet can be defined as an international system of connected computer networks that use customary internet protocol suite to serve billions of users globally. The internet networks consists of millions of public, private, government, business, and academic networks of local to international space that are interconnected by a wide array of optical, wireless, and electronic networking technologies.
Why was it Created
Traditionally, people have communicated through films, television, music, and telephone. Most of the above communications means proved to be unreliable especially when communicating over long distances. For instance, companies and organizations found it hard to communicate over long distances. Equally distance relationships were also affected by lack of easy communication means. For instance, it is common knowledge that loved ones have in the past been separated as a result of working far away from home. Most of them found it hard to stay in touch with their loved ones while away. In the end, scientists and scholars had to look for ways to ensure people are able to communicate over long distances with ease. The creation of the internet seemed to the surest way to ensure the above problems were solved once and for all.
