For me this feature makes even more sence on a phone than on a laptop because it takes me longer to write on a phone than on a laptop with 10 fingers.
I also liked the feature when I didn't know how to spell the word correctly :)
Yes, it was always useful for spellings - e.g. pneumonia!
Oh, I am shocked, now. hehe I will definitely miss it. It is sad in my opinion that revenue is over user experience. IMO this goes against everything Google stands for. Thanks for the post, I will be following you.
I think just about everyone who was using it will miss it.
But I am sure Google has its own reasons, mainly financial, behind the changes that they make.
