How to ace in an interview and HOW to be a STAR interviewee

Hello everyone,

An interview is a conversation between two people where questions are asked and answers are given. It's really great news if you get an interview. This means that the employer liked your application and now wants to meet you to see if you are suitable for the job. And let's see how you can be S.T.A.R interviewee.

Nowadays, many interviewers are asking some standard questions from the interviewee. For instance, in customer service, a manager is asked: "Describe a time where you handled a combat between two individuals." And here, you can use the S.T.A.R. framework to prepare for such competency-based questions pulled from the job profile.
Let's how?

Build a situation
Prepare a story that you will narrate to the interviewer. Like a good movie. For example, "that the company sales were down by 15% in last financial year and my sales team of 7 people needed a big client in the last quarter."

Task
Here you will tell the interviewer what was expected from you specifically and not from your sale team members.

Action
Here, your whole cooked up or genuine story depends on as this is the main part of the story where you explain how to handle the situation like that, the what and why of your actions. Share a lot of details, tell him everything whatever is coming to your mind at that time related to the situation you were dealing. For example, "I took the angry customer aside, apologised and gave him a full refund because his complaint was genuine and the issue was holding up the sales queue."

Result
And at last, outcome must be in your favour. Share the result for maximum impact and add what you learnt from it. For example, "Because of my monthly meetings, the client renewed our service contract for 2 years with a 15% annual increase and my team implemented monthly meetings with all clients."
