So it's been about a month since I've joined the site, so I think it's about time that I make my introductory post.
My name is Mark and I am 38 years old. I'm a single father of a of an 8 year old named AJ.
When I was 18 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called AOA2, or Ataxia with Ocularmotor Apraxia Type 2. It is prevalence is about one 900,000 worldwide.
I love to do various adaptive sports such as surfing and paddle boarding. I have a lot support from my family and my community that allows me to have many opportunities I wouldn't normally have.
Currently we live with my parents in beautiful Orange County, California. I am on disability and do our jobs for extra money.
I am excited to be part of the steemit.com community and I hope to make the best out of this opportunity. So please upvote, comment, and follow.

Welcome Mark. I'm new here too. I write and I'm disabled as well. I find it difficult to make friends on Steemit. My first impression is that everyone has their own agenda and its nothing like a community. Anyway, welcome!

Hi Mark. So, what are you going to blog about? I haven't decided to put my whole life out there. Who am I kidding, no one would want me to. My life is very boring, and very depressing. The statement you made: (I hope everything is well) is an extreme comment. Truthfully, everything is not well, for example, I don't have food, even if I could go out and get it I don't have the money for it. Now I'm not saying this to concern you in anyway but you and I both know the struggles of living month to month on SSDI. Life sucks but at least, for the time being, I have internet. Well, now I feared I said too much. Forgive me if I seem desperate for someone to talk to, but I am. Let me know if you read any of my poems and what you think about them.
