My name is Dali Makeba, a female from the western part of Nigeria, I'm in my early twenties and a student of the University of Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria. I am most thrilled to be a part of this awesome and creative community.
My Name
The name Dali Makeba is not my birth name, I picked it from two entirely different worlds, "Dali" from my favorite kdrama "Dali and the cocky prince" and Makeba from the famous "Mama Africa" Zensi Miriam Makeba, an inspiration to most Africans, a woman who fought against oppression and apartheid while spreading hope through her songs till her death.
Interests
I have a wide range of interests that keeps me excited and energized. First, I'm a huge fan of Basketball. Except I'm sick, I don't turn down an opportunity to watch the NBA games.
Laughter is an essential part of my life, and I have a deep appreciation for comedy, from witty movies to stand up comedies, I believe that laughter has a magical power to bring people together and uplifts spirits. Speaking of Movies, I'm also a cinephile who enjoys diving into captivating stories, discussing the art of film making and exploring different genres. Plus, I really love conspiracy theories.
Adventures and fun-filled experiences are my constant companions. Traveling and exploring the beauty of nature is one of my greatest joys, as it nourishes my soul and reminds me of the wonders that surround us, I also love taking pictures of everything else except myself.
In my quieter moments, you can often find me engrossed in a good book. Reading allows me to delve into different worlds, expand my knowledge, and explore diverse perspectives. I'm also passionate about music and enjoy singing in my bathroom or when I'm alone as I'm a very very shy person, finding solace and self-expression through melodies and lyrics.
As a self-proclaimed minimalist, I appreciate the beauty of simplicity and the freedom it brings. I find joy in decluttering, organizing, and finding contentment in the little things. With a love for solo outings and cooking, I cherish those moments of solitude that allow me to recharge and reflect. I also have a special relationship with flowers.
Lastly, it's no secret—I love money and snacks! But who doesn't? 😄
