Hello SteemIt Universe

Hello Everyone,

This (image below) is me. Specifically this is a photo of me, getting head shots done, at my law school.

I choose this image because it speaks to the content of my future posts. I will be writing about law school, the law in general, and the impact it has had on my life. Any of the specifics will apply to the law in Canada, and is not advice. That being said, there is some universal truths about going to law school, about learning and consuming so much information, about the practical impact of law school on how someone will live their life, and especially about the stress of becoming a lawyer... I hope to spread awareness about it.

I am also hoping to meet some great new people! This site was recommended to me by my closest and most trusted friend who had nothing but positive things to say about the SteemIt community and platform.

Thanks for reading,

Cass

Welcome to Steemit.

Thank you!

@tanemahuta we are waiting for new posts from you dear

You look beautiful welcome to steemit community glad to meet you

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Welcome to steemit! How many years does it take to become a lawyer in Canada? Here in the US law school is three years, post graduate.

Same thing here sort of. 3 years of law school after your undergraduate degree. Plus 10 months of articling afterwards.

I had to look up "articling". Here in the US they kick you out of law school with little practical knowledge. As long as you pass the bar you are good to go, and wreak havoc upon the world.

The concept of practical experience is really great but the process is so hard here. There are very little positions and more and more are being offered without pay. Since you cannot be licensed without getting these positions it can be stressful and take a long time to start working.

Hi Cass welcome to steemit.. It is nice to have a person with your skill set here and I hope that you enjoy yourself. There is many amazing people in this community, so I imagine with your law degree and nice smile, you will fit right in! Cheers :)

Aw! That is a very sweet welcome, thank you! I am looking forward to meeting new people! :)

See, you know exactly what to say to get a reply :) ... Have lots of fun and if you need any questions answered (and you will at some point), feel free to tag me and I will be happy to help you if I can! Have fun and happy new year Cass! :)

I just joined as well. I am in the real estate industry in Colorado.

That's great:) I have a parent in real estate, how do you like it??

I have been doing it since 2001 and love it. I am more of an investor now than agent.

The market here is not great for investing right now but that's really interesting.
