Hello beautiful Hive community. My name is Amélia de Jesus and i have 78 years old. I'm from Coimbra, Portugal. I was a Portuguese teacher for 30 years at the primary school in Vila Nova de Anços in Coimbra and now i have been retired for almost twenty years.
I'm a proud mother of two beautiful women who treat me so well that sometimes i feel like i'm their daughter. Their names are Alberta and Rosália de Jesus.
I also have five beautiful granddaughters that I love so much. Filipa, Sofia, Paula, Joana and Carolina and they are my reason to live.
I love when they visit me and i love making them snacks with cakes i have made myself. They especially love my Carrot Cake and Yogurt Cake.
When i'm alone at home, because i'm a widow, i like to watch TV and make crochet and also cook.
I have two kittens named Tareco and Fluffy and a dog named Piloto and they are my company throughout the day. Tareco loves to play with balls of yarn because he is younger and loves to play. Fluffy is older and loves to spend the day sleeping by the window. Piloto spends his days lying next to me and loves to go for long walks every morning. I have always loved pets and i find them fascinating animals.
I've had other pets in my life and I feel they are the best company a person can have, besides our family of course. But I consider them like family too.
Until a few years ago i didn't know how to use a computer and my daughters gave me one for Christmas and my granddaughters taught me how to use Facebook. Since then, my curiosity for new technologies has increased. I learned to use other social networks like Instagram and Youtube and I really like watching videos there.
I always liked to write and my dream was to write a book. I don't know if I still have time but while there is life there is hope.
My neighbor's son told me about this community and told me that it would be a good place for me to write and communicate with new people. I don't intend to meet anyone because i'm too old for these things but i would like to open my horizons and share my stories with more people. I wrote for a few years for the School's newspaper and i always had this taste for writing.
To be honest, i still don't quite understand how this works, because he told me that i could make money writing, but i don't do it for money. Fortunately, i have my pension which, despite being small, allows me to have a life without necessities. My goal is to share my life stories with the world. If I manage to make any money here, it will be all to use in my granddaughters' studies. They need it much more than i do.
Well this is my presentation to this community and i wanted to thank my neighbor for helping me create this presentation and for his patience with me. His name is José Alves and he likes this cryptocurrency stuff. He has been very patient and tries to teach me these new things.
