Hey Hive community!
Excited to be joining this decentralized social network movement and finally taking digital ownership over our creations, connections and data. I am Victor Caribe, originally from Brazil, grew up in a city called Salvador in Bahia which is famous for its amazing food, welcoming people, largest carnival and unique beaches.
I am really into traveling, exploring different cultures and have been moving around living in New Zealand, Los Angeles, New York, Sao Paulo and ended up choosing Miami a few years ago to split my time with Salvador. Until recently I was climbing the management consulting careers ladder at PwC until I found out about blockchain in 2016. My worldview changed completely and I couldn't stop learning about crypto, NFTs, web3, DAOs and how this technology could democratize access to opportunities for people in the most remote areas in the planet.
Last year I quit my career in consulting and started Play4Change DAO which has the mission of generating social transformation in underserved communities leveraging blockchain games, web3 education and NFTs for artists. Since then, we are onboarding people from favelas in Brazil, indigenous tribes in the Amazon and many other places into this new open economy which everyone can participate and they are already leapfrogging their current realities.
We invite you all to join us in this fight against social inequality. Wanted to thank @luizhadad for the invite to Hive and for all the support and guidance at @play4change . I am not as good as a surfer as Luiz but also love the sport and when I am not surfing I go for soccer, futevolei or playing guitar with friends and family.
