Who am I?
My name is Mike and I have been looking for a place like STEEMIT for a long time...at least, what I imagine steemit to be. I think this place has the ability to be something amazing and I hope to be part of making it just that. I have lots of interests...probably too many. I want to approach steemit in many different ways, it will be my creative outlet for things that have been building in my mind for a long time. I have always wanted to blog, but never had the outlet.
I hope I can bring some new thoughts to this platform and get some good feedback in the process. Shout out to @coldfusion who first introduced me to this platform, you have taught me so much! (I am talking about the youtube content creator...hopefully he uses the same name here).
My Plans for the content of this blog
So far I've posted a couple things, with no real success, but from what I've read from other users Introduceme pages (@fakire1sadaka and @alanisgeva ) it takes a bit of time and determination to get some interaction!
To start, I am going to share some recommendations, because that's what I feel like I do best, I live in an amazing part of the world and am exposed to some great food, wine, beer, music, style, art, and activities, and I want to share it all so that hopefully you can experience some of it too.
I'll eventually move towards engaging with some of you in conversation about projects I am working on and bring some new stuff to the site once I find the time!

I know that steemit may seem very overwhelming to you right now but don't worry. There's a learning curve to everything so just be patient and you'll be churning out posts and becoming a part of something great in no time!

It can be an amazing place. So much information and some amazing people. If anyone told you that you will get rich here.... don't believe it. Though a few have made some thousands without any investment, most big players invested a lot of their own money to BOOST their performance.
Community is key here. If you don't make friends, it will be near impossible to get people to read your blogs. Even then, it comes very slowly. Look up MSP(Minnow Support Project) and MSP Pal Net on Discord app. You will want to go to @minnowsupport and then join the Discord group.
As for Posts... you have 5 tags you can add. You don't have to use 5. The first one is the one YOU CANNOT edit. So make sure the first is correct. But please don't use tags that don't apply. If I am posting about the pizza that I just ate, I shouldn't tag it as STEEM or CREATIVEWRITING (unless... of course I narrate it as some interesting story full of mermaids and hidden treasure).
You can search tags by typing in: www.steemit.com/created/tagyouwanttosearch like www.steemit.com/created/canada
This will get you started on finding Steemians with similar interests.
Oh... and if you haven't yet... do read through a few of the sections and resources on https://steemit.com/welcome

I am a volunteer here. Mostly I search for people abusing the steemit platform. But I try to greet new users as well and provide some helpful advice. Hopefully I have done that for you!

Upvoted on behalf of @thehumanbot and it's allies. Write less but write great original content, which is the key to success in Steemit. If you are using any image or video, cite proper source. Even if its your own image or video, it's worth mention the same.
Also if you know someone who is not using his voting power, then forward them to @sanmi on Steemit chat to do some charity and earn curation. Alternatively, you can follow me in SteemAuto and upvote the posts, that I upvote.
