The Late Introduction of a Night Owl Who Gets Up Early

So I'm a tad overdue for an introduction post. But better late than never, right?

Hi, my name is Casey! I am an introverted photographer who lives in the northwestern US. I have a great interest in movies and have recently dug into the world of filmmaking. Even though I've only scratched the surface, it is a very challenging undertaking. Poetry is also one of my creative outlets, but it only strikes me sporadically and usually in the middle of the night.

Origin of my username: While camping out on the side of a mountain with my girlfriend, we kept hearing this low-pitch fluttering noise, almost like a buzzing. We looked to the sky and discovered a bird that was dive-bombing to catch insects. That fluttering noise was its wings beating rapidly to quickly change direction toward the sky again. I looked it up in one of my trusty field guides: the common nighthawk. It is such a cool bird, even though its screechy call can be annoying.

As a libertarian anarchist, this site intrigues me with its bottom up approach to rewarding content creators. And with my interest in Austrian economics, I have been trying to wrap my head around how the Steem currency works. I hope people increase their demand for it and the value goes up because this site, while not perfect, is a great start to what the future could hold.
