All the spam and bots and canned responses are interesting. Admittedly, I am engaging in some of this stuff myself for now. Obviously, my interest in these things will turn to annoyance before long. Even now, I find myself questioning if your reply is real or a canned response (lol)!

The dynamics of this all fascinates me. It truly says something not very flattering about human nature. However, I am overall very excited about Steemit.

Even though there are useful bots on Steemit, I have become increasingly disappointed by how many accounts are created just to repost stuff from Steemit (and the web, in general) in order to grab cash.

Absolutely! In fact, I'm drafting a post with my thoughts on this and related topics. In a nutshell, the Steemit model seems to have been successful in eliminating trolls (almost). However, it does not address spam (bots, buying votes, etc. which I consider to be spam or spam-ish). More on this soon.
