RE: INTRODUCE MYSELF

Hola. Welcome to Steemit!

Given the inflation of Venezuelan currency, do you think if Venezuelans earn SBD (Steem Dollars, stable pegged to US dollars) on Steemit they would spend it and circulate it in the local economy?

Sort:

Hola. Well, actualy, if you win dollars, you can change this for bolivares. Obviously, the coin is falling frecuently due to the active participation of dollar in the national economy. For this reason, the average salary doesn´t cover basic needs. This option (Steemit) is a "help" to the packet venezuelan, although this directly affects our economy in the short term.

I've had an idea about Venezuela, that if enough people from your area use Steem Dollars, you might not need to trade them for Bolivars. And the currency would be stable. Would this possibly work if there were enough people doing it? Is it realistically achievable? Would the government dislike it?

Probably, the government dislike that, because them approaches would be oposite to they say; but the handling of dollars actualy is big (clandestine). So, if the population use Steem and the government doesn´t agree, the situation will be same, because, we´ve a state economy.

I see. Thank you for answering my curiosity!
