Hey everyone, as you can probably tell, this is my first post on steemit.
I'm a CS student with a strong interest in security.
I am curious about how steemit works. Is it truly decentralised? What would happen if steemit.com went down? Are there alternative clients?
Is there a way to submit content etc. without implicitly trusting steemit.com?
