Synchronicities........life's wild cards......make "perfect sense"...... if you see humanity as one living entity....with each of us......as individual Cells, part of a larger......."organism".......Interconnected in ways few of us ever realize....... Intuition..... IS....the GPS of the soul... There is an energy grid to tap into........When guided by intuition...... everything flows effortlessly ......no confusion or questions.......My most recent synchronicity was being "gifted" an all expenses paid round trip to London.......Epoch in many ways....resembling a tv sit com in others............ i'd written friends long before having any idea how that would happen....I was just sure, that it would.......... Always leave it open...... One never knows from where or how....things manifest.....seemingly....out of thin air........The London trip was a prize won by a friend......Her bank treated 16 people to a luxury week in London.........and my friend.... invited me.......
Ah, but that is yet another mad story....
One of the more bizarre synchronicities......... was on a visa run to BKK............ As per usual at that time, funds were scarce....... Several friends fronted me sarongs to sell ....... One friend showed up moments before leaving to the airport...... 30 sarongs were ethnic designs, not great, but saleable..... The largest portion of sarongs were rather.... dark, muddy colours.........The taxi driver was fidgeting impatiently.....we were already running late........... Finally seated in the taxi, we're leaving.... i'm waving....... i quickly pull one sarong out of the large bundle to see exactly what it is...... GASP!! Oversized by sarong standards.....a primitive version of a..... British Flag?............
with 'HAWAII" batik'd along the bottom in large letters?..........It had been "over dyed".... in the attempt to hide or at least improve....what was obviously a pile of rejects............. Dark red, brown and dark blue........... They were all equally HIDEOUS....... So incredibly ugly.......i could only....... laugh.
Bkk airport..... (Don Mueng) packed to the gills with christmas travelers......Long lines at immigration. Europeans and all those fleeing the bite of winter...flock to Thailand. Looking to escape the weather, and often their lives.........After claiming my luggage off the carosel...... Negotiating..... people darting in every direction....... Winding my way thru throngs of humanity...... towards the lift up to "Departures" where its faster finding a ride...........Seasoned travelers know....Taxi's don't like to cue. Its easier to pick one up where they are dropping off clients, than at arrivals where the cues were 40+ people deep......... Children and packages sprawled about. There, in the midst of all this chaos..... is a massive Pile of baggage tended by a tall, slender, red haired man..... Sticking out like a sore thumb......He's reorganizing his pile......Yet each time he stacked and balanced something up top..... It slid down in the most Sissyphusian........ manner.......
Stopping for a moment..... enjoying this Chaplinesque character rearranging his mountain of baggage...... Without thinking...... i walked up to him half laughing and said, "You look like you are having a tough time. I'm heading off to Kao San road.... We can share a taxi if you like?" Leslie.....was the strangers name...... He was visibly relieved at the suggestion...... NEVER done that before....( nor since ).... it was a gut feeling..... Trust Intuition.....tho it doesn't always makes sense. So i help him pile up an absurd mountain of luggage on two trollies......We just managed to fit into one taxi.... Turns out he had been teaching in Turkey and was hoping to do the same in Thailand....... Peaches guesthouse where i stayed for many years....when in Bkk..... was full of expats teaching English or working at the Bkk Post.......i could introduce them.....perhaps that connection might be why i felt compelled to help him..... never mind.
Trust Intuition.
We arrive at Kao San Rd...........A Bkk hub for travelers.........A bit zoo like....but its easy to organise whatever one needs. I'd already booked a room for 3 nights at Joe's in a tiny Soi just off Kaosan.... My regular room at Peaches.... was full for another few days due to pre Christmas.....bustle.........Joe's was for 2 or 3 nites till i could move to my usual room....in Peaches. Upon arrival at Kao San..... Leslie took off to look for a room.......Kao San Road...was wall to wall travelers in their 20's and 30's and sprinkled with a swelling league of 60 somethings.......always bursting with Local vendors selling everything from blinking flying whirling toys to illegal CD's and ID's...... Northern Thai's wandering around in full ethnic gear....scraping some instrument which makes an annoying clicking noise......Crawling insects on a cart to freak out and impress foreigners who want to try something exotic......The face of Kaosan has changed over the years........ its a bustling tourist trap now.....but the circus like atmosphere is still a fun place to transit......
Leslie's baggage was heaped in a corner of the lobby.......He returned frustrated a half hour later deflated from the humid Bkk air........ There was not a closet to be had...... The room I'd booked, there were two beds....... so, we shared ...... He was nice enough...... didn't seem like a serial killer.....
(then again, what does a serial killer seem like?)
Trust intuition
Certainly a room would come free tomorrow......Three nights passed..... no rooms.......Time for me to move to Peachies..... and find somewhere to flog those sarongs!........Since i told him that Peachies was full of expats working like himself.....teaching English..... Leslie tagged along.....We shared a room there as well.....spacious room with several beds......... He was out all day looking for work connections....... i went to Chatuchuk market.....Massive weekend market, hundreds of vendors...anything you can imagine........Almost Immediately...i was able to sell the..... pile of ethnic sarongs to a vendor there........ Ah..... but what to do with those silly British flags.....with "Hawaii" across the bottom?......laughing.....to convince myself someone would want them.......... (i'm no longer close with the "friend" who dumped these on me) About 48 hours before i'm scheduled to fly home.........Leslie is in the room..... rummaging around.... "Hey hi, i'm going to the British Embassy Friday nite, shmoozing, to find work. You interested in coming?" " oh.... ah, no.... not my cup of tea" Leslie shoots back unaware.... im vegetarian............"Its a Barbecue"...... "Hawaii Night"........i froze in my tracks.....turned towards him.......now, howling with Laughter........"WHAT?>+*&!!!!!" "DID YOU say? Hawaii nite?"........."No..... seriously ?" I stroll over to my suitcase.....pull out....the offending article...... The ugliest sarong ever made........hold it up for him to see.......It takes him a moment to realize....... that this is indeed a British flag.......with..... "Hawaii"..... written in large letters across the bottom........Leslie, was Too stunned to speak..... After a few minutes, calming my laughter......i asked him if he knew who was organizing The "Hawaii nite" and how to reach them?......yes.... he did..... He hands me their personal cell phone number.........It was evening......My flight was booked in 48 hours.......to return home.... At 8 am.... i phoned the number Leslie gave me........and in my most "professional" voice, kind of .... cheeky.....said " Hi!........i have something you "need!" He was intrigued......then confused...........and ultimately flabberghasted ......
What are the chances?
I could offer him no plausible explanation.........We arranged to meet the next day...........On my way TO the airport... My taxi, stopped in front of the British Embassy......A well dressed man in his early 30's met me outside to avoid all the safety checks to enter................within 5 minutes he had the pile of Sarongs......and i had 16 US$ each...... So best beloveds..... the moral of this story.....we co-create our own....reality.......by suspending belief that something is impossible......it becomes...... possible........

Haha what are the chances. Love when things get together like that! Thanks for sharing your story
some people look at the weather....... i have a "synchronicity Scale"..... it tells me how in tune i am with myself.....or not.......
That is an awesome LOA/synchronicity story! :D Love those moments, such a special feeling eh? One day when I had to fly from Mexico where I'd spent Christmas, back to Costa Rica (where I lived at the time) - I woke up with this super intense intuitive feeling that I should put a small painting in my carry on luggage to give to someone on the plane for good luck/karma for my art career.. While waiting to board, the President of Costa Rica at the time, Laura Chinchilla got on the same plane I was about to get on! I knew she'd be in first class and I'd probably have to walk past her on the way to my seat, so - I gave the painting to her! Later once the plane took off she even had her security bring me back up to first class to get a picture. It felt like confirmation from the Universe that I was on the right track!
Brilliant........ Its these moments that tell us that we are..... in exactly the right place at the right time........ I have many Synchronicity stories..... the London trip was amazing... but .....one week in Bkk to flog those miserable bizarre designs...... was just angels laughing at me....... so off the wall.....
don't have such an open mind that your brains fall out.
An indian gave me the name long ago........ Unmani..... no mind....... Its been my experience......to more open the mind the greater the possibilities........ i lost my "mind"....... long ago...... ha ha
very sad story.
my condolences..
a very odd response............ losing one's mind....... is the best thing that can happen..... we weren't designed to be little robots........ and conditioning of the mind..... is where all the preconceived notions..... lye.........
we were designed?
who knew?
