Hi there steemit friends, I’m starr86, and new to the community. I am from the beautiful, warm and sunny island of Barbados in the West Indies, where I am a single mom of two wonderful boys, one of which introduced me to this platform.
I am an avid Christian, as a matter of fact a deacon in my church, and folks I am excited about God, He is doing some phenomenal things in my life which I want to share with you, as well as to expound on the word in a very simple and easy to understand way. I really hope that my blogs will not only peak people’s interest, but, that they will effect change in the lives of many.
I am also a professional seamstress, who make clothing for individuals, businesses and stores, whilst, simultaneously home-schooling my 13-year-old son, who has a hearing challenge. He is doing very well and if circumstances allow, I am contemplating filtering him into high school from September.
This is my first attempt at anything on-line besides emails, but I have always wanted to be an author from a child, so I think that this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a community which will allow me to hone my writing skills, although, it is not my primary reason for blogging on this platform. I think that sometimes people have a lot of misconceptions about Christianity and the Bible, and I know that God will use me to reach some persons, who perhaps may still have questions on some of the most controversial topics.
I am a warm-hearted person and I believe that I will be able to convey that same warmth in my contributions. So I welcome all of you on this journey with me.
