Lately I wrote my very first 300$ article on Steemit, when I jumped in to an idea that @redtravels brought to my attention. As it was really fun to write it, I somehow feel that this article was overrated compared to so many out there earning mere cents, so I decided to give back something to the Community (100 SBD). I talked with some about it and the new witness @felixxx decided to add 100 SBD into the pricepool as well (probably he might be one of the judges, too).
This challenge is mainly directed to the new people around here, but everybody can join in. Everybody will win, and 3 of you can win big.
Prices:
1st place 100 SBD
2nd place 50 SBD
3rd place 25 SBD
several 5 SBD for honorable mentions
+Upvote from me (depending on my VP up to 10$) for every entry (I will adjust my vote to your SP and your experience from 1-100%), if we are lucky some others will join in and give this project some VP-love, as well.
...if we help each other, we will become the greatest community of all times...
How to join:
- Show us your hometown in a post on steemit.
- Use original (your own) pictures
- Use the #introduceyourhometown
- Post the link to your post as a comment in this post
- New entries will be accepted until the first payout of this post.
As I want people to interact with steemit platform there will be some extra-points influencing my decision:
- Vote for a witness (this is an important part of the steemit community, most don't even know that this is a possibility to influence how steemit will develop in the future and I don't care which one)
- Using reasonable formatting
- Having different sections in your article: Some fun, some historical knowledge, some insider knowhow.
Remember: NOONE knows your hometown better than YOU and we can create a travel guide of the whole world from LOCALS to TRAVELLERS letting them know, what not to miss when they come by.

We don't really have a hometown type of hometown...
We live in the country and you can't even see our nearest neighbor in the summer because of the trees, bushes and fields. Its heaven on earth, at least to us. :D

What if you life in the country and your hometown is nothing but cows, fields and far away neighbors? What picture would you accept for that? I can take a picture of our cows in the field, our chickens, our barn made from an old big rig trailer, the distance to our neighbors or to the next road over....
What would be acceptable as an entry into this contest?
