I'm afraid I haven't read anything of Juliet Marillier. As for my favorite book, ti's the one I recommended. I read it thrice so far. I also like Stephen King. As for non-fiction, I highly recommend anything by Naomi Klein, Noam Chomsky en Bill Bryson, among others.
