This is Me

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would place myself at 3 when it comes to self introduction.
To people on the receiving or observing end, they will probably go with 8.5 and that is still cool for me because I can be outspoken and a socialite at some point but in severe cases I get to catch myself battling for the right words and I can’t beat myself for those times (I call those days my ‘’inside life days’’)

How it will turn out for you reading this is what I cannot predict but I will try to do justice.

Ready...

I don’t know why but I love to emphasize that I am a girl, born on February 22, and that day was a beautiful Saturday and I am certain that my star did shine the brightest that night. Born into a family of seven, I was the second daughter, currently the third (life happens), and a one time last born, presently a big sister, call me Akanenying James.

To others it may be okay but I think it stressful to be an indigene of both Mkpat Enin and Ikot Abasi L.G.A in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria at the same time. It’s too close; I mean they are like brothers and sister. Most times when asked where I am from, I mistake my mother’s place to be mine only to later say oh, I am from Mkpat Enin, and the previous was my mother’s. As exhausting as it is for me, I would not blame me either because I have practically lived my whole teenage life with my parent in my mother’s hometown.

Introducing myself every time reminds me of the fact that this life sometimes is not just balance, I remember wanting to be a doctor when I finish my education because I literally sang that song twice every week as a pupil while I matched to my class from the devotion in the morning . Now I am a final year student studying Urban and Regional Planning and those two are so not related.

Yes it is a story of what I ordered via anticipation as a child and what I got served as per what I am currently studying but it leaves no room for regret being that I have met with beautiful people both in appearance and in heart and one of them who introduced me to this amazing platform in extension is @nelson-george who I consider to be a very good friend, although he may not have known before, now he knows.

I am a multipotentialite, it gets overwhelming sometimes but finding balance cannot be over emphasized. Looking back at my choice of pursuit educationally, I came to a conclusion that it was pure "what’s in the market pressure" than that of my interest career wise. Like who in the world talked me into science when I am all art personified? A choice I now have to live with while still trying to harness my in built talent.

I am a singer, song writer, communicator and low key speaker; I love to teach children, teens and young adults. I am a freelance writer and I love reading. I love travelling in the evening when the air is more life friendly with a touch of few cars here and there, and an ear set to better help me filter mother earths melody.

It’s weird but I prefer male companies even though I still keep female friends. I love making friends with elderly people because I learn to avoid their mistakes while leveraging on their wins, I cannot tell why but I feel safer in their space.

I have an interest for frontend web development of which I am pursing in bits, no rush at all. I am also advancing my skill currently in public speaking and leadership. I love watching football, I am more of a Messi fan than a club fan, I also play football, I run long distance race and I do long jump. Back in my secondary school days I did venture into skating and I am so sure I would crash land if I try it now.

So as not to say too much, I will conclude by saying that my experience has not completely defined who I am but it has in some way shaped me into a simple yet principled lady.

I am a proud lover of God and I respect peoples boundaries and except people to do same to mine.

I love LOVE.

I am all of the above and so much more and it is a great delight to be a part of this community, below is my bodily form and yes it does no justice to my age. I am that lady in a girl’s body.
