RE: A (not so) short introduction from a newbie blogger or Lena's guide to writing long, boring posts.

First, your writing is perfectly good. I am extremely strict when it comes to good writing and I have no hesitation in saying you write exceptionally well.

Second, never procrastinate today what you can procrastinate over tomorrow.

Third, random thoughts are always good, as is thinking. The best writing is re-written many times, thoughts take time to settle. I don't think it has ever taken me more than six months of constant rewriting to complete a post, but if that is what it takes then that's what it takes. You enjoy food, so know that it's not hard to tell the difference between something well-prepared and something instant out of a package. Sometimes instant is what you want, there is nothing wrong with that, but sometimes you want something elaborate and filling.

Many thanks for the encouraging comment! And what a clever advice on procrastinating procrastination! I have never thought of such a good way to deal with it , thank you! :)
