Now my employment record official states: Australian radio announcer for the last 18 years, but I have no idea a) how to switch off outside of work and b) how to accept boredom and live with it. So you'll find me doing a tonne of different things because I like to get creative.
I have been blogging on and off for years. You'd think I'd stop with one but no - I started with my crazy adventures (which I later turned into my first book) at http://www.almigo.blogspot.com.
Then I figured 'I like cars, what's to stop me writing about cars?' - it turns out nothing, so off I went to http://www.driveanotherday.com.
Beer is also a favorite past time of mine (drinking and talking about it) so I kicked off http://beersinmybackyard.blogspot.com.au/
And then of course cryptocurrency really took off and suddenly: https://onemillionbytecoins.blogspot.com.au/
(The car blog also led to my Youtube channel for extra content: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq_zap5hbgpIuIU_X8C-vcg - the star of the show is my 2000 Nissan Stagea. It would have been my Rx7 had that not fallen to pieces with every turn of the key.)
I had a stupidly big 2017 as I kicked off a new job in a new state here in Australia and suddenly found myself with time on my hands to finish off those things I'd been promising myself I'd do for years. Like write my first ever book:

The successful feeling of the first one led to the second and the third and I'm currently about 5% through my fourth. For anyone who thinks 'I want to write but I don't feel what I write will be good enough' start typing. At the end of it all, see if your self doubt is still making any noise.
This year I plan to brew my very first beer. I haven't nailed the particular style of brew to brew or work out the equipment I'm going to use but I have been saving the bottles from my recent trips to the bottle shop so I've got quite a collection starting to form which could come in handy.
So ultimately why am I here? It was a natural progression really. A mild interest in crypto led to playing around in everything from mining to investing and in my travels, I stumbled here. There's a lot of content to read, a lot of things to absorb and plenty of space to add my own thoughts. I think I'm going to enjoy this place.
Thanks for having me, I look forward to all the chats and fun stuff.

Welcome Almigo, My oldest son is in Australia right now for a two week course. He is in Sydney area right now but will be in Melborne on his last day. I am very jealous of him and proud of him too of course.
He gets to come here for a course? Out of interest, what is he studying? (I'm guessing international studies but I could be horribly wrong here.)
Yes, international business I believe.
