Greetings from Mongolia, Sanchir here! I'm 34 years old and my education is in two different fields, Information Systems /Bachelor/ and Educational Science /Master's/. But my current job is as an entrepreneur where I tried few different startups in the past few years and I currently own a home decoration shop with my cousin.
I like traveling and have been to over 10 countries in 4 different continents, but my true passion is exploring the workings of the universe. And I always feel fascinated by this place we all call our Mother the planet Earth. Now onto my main blog...
What is the meaning of Life?
Have you ever asked yourself this question? I believe you did and I think everyone on this planet who are sane will ask this question one day or the other. But how many of us actually try to find the answer to this question?
Well for me this is my story of how I tried to find the answer to this very question since the age of 8. Why 8 you may be wondering? Well because I got a terrible disease around this age. The name of the disease was glomerulonephritis, like many other medical terms a tongue twister but it basically means acute inflammation of the kidney from an immune response.
So my kidney was in trouble and I started urinating blood and my face was swollen so much that I could barely open my eyes. At the time I had no idea what was going on but my parents were in panic and started taking me to all kinds of doctors to get me examined. They finally found the right doctor and I was to be hospitalized the next day. And that night before I was to be taking to the hospital I accidentally eavesdropped on my parents, they thought I was asleep, and was talking about the disease.
I clearly remember that night's talk which happened more than 2 decades ago. The reason is what they were discussing that night clicked a switch in me and made me think about something that most people don't think of until they are close to their deathbed.
They were discussing about the doctor's deceased daughter who also had the same disease as me and she was only 19 years old at the time her death. (Although it is a curable disease, at the time it was early 80s so the medical science wasn't so good in my country).
And so even though I was only 8 years old, my mind started pondering on many strange thoughts like: will I be able to get older and live like my parents, will I have a girlfriend, will I have children and ultimately what will happen if I die.
So from that day on I started questioning this thing called Life. So many thoughts came to me and I wanted to find out why all this things happen to us and to me. I remember making myself certain goals to achieve before my death like a bucket list for 8 year old kid. One of them was to find the purpose for my existence...
