Thank you for stopping by!
My name is Andreas Petker and was introduced to @steemit through a youtube video from @marketreport.
I am 36 years young ;-) married for 17 years to my teenage girlfriend, I fell in love with her at the age of 14. We are responsible for 5 boys whom we love and care about.
I live in germany and english is my second language. So, if you find a mistake which bugs you don't hesitate to correct me. Btw, I speak russian too ;-)
Portrait photography is a passion of mine from many years ago. I photographed people from my teenage days. My skills and the tools improved over the time but the fundamentals of portraiture are the same. You have to learn the rules before you know how to bend them to your will :-)
This portrait was shot with my iPhone 5 on a stand with a timer. Edited on the phone too.
I love reading books about business, psychology, drawing and creating wealth.
Here are some examples of my work using just natural light from a window.
I photographed previously just with natural light in my living room. But I've found out that I have much more control over my results using other light sources.
This list is my actual gear etc:
NIKON D800
NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f1.4G
Lighting: 1,50m PHOT-R Octabox and GODOX SL60W LED
SHOOTING LOCATION: my living room
RAW edit: Lightroom CC
RETOUCHING: Photoshop CC
TONING: Alien Skin Exposure X
My portraitstyle was influenced by JERRY GHIONIS and SUE BRYCE. The retouching part is a combination from a great portrait photographer named DANI DIAMOND and PRATIK NAIK who is a pro retoucher.
I photograph guys too ;-)
What do I want to accomplish trough my work?
Timeless portraits with a magazine look. Most people don't know that they themselfes look great or even better than so many stars and celebrities. With the right guidance, clothes, lighting and a bit of retouching it is not a dream YOU have to chase. There are many bodyshapes etc but a great photographer can create gorgeous portraits with anybody. That is my personal opinion. Do I accomplish it every single time? Of course not. We are humans and we make mistakes. But those are the times from where we can learn the most if we are willing to admit them.
I want to end my introduction with a quote: People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care.
How can I serve you?
