I don't know where to start honestly...
Well hello there steemians, I am Arzee, a 19 year old kiddo from Indonesia. Currently an undergraduate IT student. I've read many people's introduceyourself posts and they are very interesting so I decided to make my own.
How did you end up here?
I was very interested in bitcoin circa 2013-2014, but was only able to read posts about it, being amazed, and mostly did nothing about it. I really wanted to have bitcoin, but at that time to have some bitcoin in my country wasn't easy. So yeah, I did what an average teenager would do:
Nothing.
Time passed, I got accepted into a university that many Indonesians crave, parents were (and still are) proud, but that's not the point. Just few weeks after I stepped into uni, my craving for bitcoin came back. I read more and more about it, until comes to the point I tried to mine some. After looking at the tutorials and how large the blockchain was, I stopped again. The only thing I did was spread the message of "bitcoin as an alternative payment method" to my friends, but hardly anyone paid attention. I downloaded an application from the windows store to easily mine bitcoin, but the hashing speed was painful since I used my only laptop for uni work. Again, I stopped giving attention to my interest.
Where's the STEEMIT part!??
Okay okay, chill down, I'll tell you right now. Around November 2016 I made a crowdfund campaign in one of the most used crowdfunding website. It was because my parents were building a house and the developer made it difficult so that the house wasn't started being built even though the paper said so. I made the crazy idea to crowdfund myself to buy PC parts so I can start a gaming and streaming channel on youtube or twitch, hoping that the money earned can go to my parents and my pocket money(so that they don't have to). After 3 months, I had to stop the campaign because nobody had donated. I felt sad, but fine afterwards since I expected the worst case.
It was around February when I searched other cryptocurrencies beside bitcoin. I found Gridcoin which rewards my pc for helping with scientific discoveries, but it damaged my laptop since it must be ran 24/7. I stopped because of that and the amount that I earned wasn't proportional to what I spent like electricity and stuff. I searched again and found steemit. YAY! At first, I was being apathetic since I hate writing on the internet in general, and I thought that earning on this site is just a waste of time, because I had the thought that people would not read my writing. After few upvotes, resteem, and replies, I took a break (it was mostly because uni work was just plain too much too). But now, I am back here, getting out of my comfort zone!.
I thought you hate writing, what makes you come back here?
I'll say it right to the point, I really need a lot of cash.
Cash for what???
Beside steem, I really love to mine dashcoin, looking at the electricity needed, they have the lowest wattage used per hour. That being said, I was looking into some miners that caught my eyes. I tried to ask for loan from the bank, but they will refuse either because of my age, or because I do not have a valid income from a company ( I actually work part time from April 2016, teaching high school students, but the income.. you can't say it as an income, maybe gas money since it's too few for me). I tried to ask from my parents, but they are building their house(we are currently renting, and have been for 4 years) which means that any money would go there first. I wouldn't blame them, even my mother told me:
"If your dad has the money, I'm sure you would already have it right now."
Those words are still here in my mind.
Also, I love cats. We had two cats, but my mother sent them to my uncle because the treatment is costly. Outside my house, there are around >10 cats that come to our porch daily. They are cute and come from one mother haha. One day if I have the money, I would like to make a cat sanctuary where I can hire a vet and take care of stray cats too.
With all of that being said
I have a goal of $2000 to reach. I hope you guys reading this can spread this post and help me reach the goal. It would mean a lot to me. I'm starting to crowdfund again haha, but this time I'll try something new, which is making posts. Each post payout will go to my milestone of dash miner and cat sanctuary.
Is that all?
No no no. You guys can ask me any questions. As long as it's not harmful to anyone, I'll try to answer it. If your question is quick enough to be given response, I'll reply to your question. But if it's interesting enough, I might make a post about your question and the answer.
Also because tomorrow is the start of Ramadan month, I'll try to make a post of "Ramadan Journey of Arzee" each day. The topic will be about different stories. The post can even be about anything. So if you guys have any question, please ask me. I'll try to answer with my knowledge and experience. And if you wanna ask something, try to ask nicely so you can spread the "nice virus" to others too.
For example rather than a hateful one like:
Ramadan? Nobody wants to hear that here
you can ask something like:
Ramadan? Why do you do that? I am really curious to know :D
(an emoji can make it better sometimes)
Let's spread positivity around the globe guys, starting from steemit, and yourself. If there is any mistake, you can reply about the mistake so I can learn and avoid them in the future. Thank you.
Happy Steeming y'all,
-Arzee
