Hello Steemit, My name is Kamalaliaya

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Greetings everyone, I'm Kamalaliaya a new steemian. Just wanted to introduce myself and give you a little background on me and why I'm here.

That's me, Awakened-Oracle
Taken today, 9-16-17 a.m.

First, I know absolutely next to nothing about bitcoin and the steemian process. I have a very good friend and mentor, Arelowo @alao who is taking the time to show me the ropes. In fact it is Arelowo who has been persistent in encouraging me to try it out. I've been reluctant up until now because in the past I've dealt with some difficulty with social media; i.e. heavy intellectual property "borrowing" and "biting" in general. I take full responsibility for what happened because I should have legally protected my ideas with off-line copywriting procedures and been more discriminating in the company I kept but it is what it is. I've learned my lessons (prayerfully).

I've had an internet presence since 2001starting with an msn groups page dedicated to Tantra yoga, the Goddess movement and sexual alchemy of the Taoist and ancient Kemetic (some call Egyptian) traditions. If you want you can look me up through my former podcasts and articles under the name Liaya Aneb Nua and Raet Shishini. The first name was the name given to me during a spiritual initiation ceremony. The second—which means "Shining Lotus"—I gave myself once I found out about my computer hacking and what followed. The name I use, Kamalaliaya is not my birthname and I use it for online purposes only.

FYI, names are very important in the Kemetic traditions. The "Ren" as it is called is an energetic frequency signature and represents your essence, your soul secrets and destiny. I started my facebook journey back in 2006 and have had 3 accounts all closed. I currently have a twitter account under kamalaliaya which I'm not that active on anymore. My current blog address is on my blog home page here if you want to see what I've written about over the last couple of years. From my experience I've found that social media can be a tremendous resource or the bane of your existence. I've experienced a little bit of both over the last 16 years or so.

Second, I'm here primarily as a writer and mystic. The bitcoin piece although interesting and I do want to do well, is not my main purpose for being here. I feel I have to share the ideas which flow from inside. That is what I love—sharing ideas in a way that supports others growth and development. Part of my destiny I feel is to have a media company to act as a gateway for others who need to have their work and voices seen and heard. I feel the route of bitcoin and steemit can be part of that overall plan. I know there is already a lot of self-publishing going on. Some are better than others. The well planned writing project is becoming a lost art, in my opinion, with the rise of texting, twitter, etc. and it shows up in rushed to completion work and lack of consistency in published works. I don't want the art to die so I'm doing what I can in my own way to preserve it.

I've also been an astrologer both Western and Vedic (yogic based) and will share my thoughts on that from time to time. Other things that are important to me are wellbeing and health, especially in older wombn of color and their families; the yogini path which some call Tantra, living in ecological balance with nature, justice, protecting animal rights, sacred relationships & sexuality, music, the classic and modern arts, film, herbology, creating my own oracles and doing consultation divinations, and much more. I will write about all of these things, do some video (I'm camera shy so that will be down the road some) and I'm looking forward to building new and healthy relationships here, Goddess willing…

Me, Kamalaliaya with red hair a couple of years back, I've decided to let my natural grey come through, for now

Check your wallet. You will see it in the transfers. Also here is another !tip 😁

Thanks for your input and advice @thauerbyi, as I mentioned in my intro I'm here because I want to write and share experiences, meet like minded people that is my main reason. If/when I make money from doing this that's gravy to me. I won't go to blogs just to make money--been there done that in mainstream life; this is for fun...
