MY INTRODUCTORY POST

Growing up, I've always been intrigued by the insane power of technology. Despite not owning a personal gadget at the time, I constantly yearned to know more. Over time, the passion grew and I was able to transmit that passion into a realistic career.

Getting into secondary school, my favourite subjects were always ICT (Computer Studies) and Data Processing (from senior school). No matter the teacher, I always seemed to enjoy the subject. When I was about registering for my Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB i.e. post-secondary) exams to get into the University, my course of study was clear as day; Computer Science.

I gained admission into the University to study Computer Science, where I fortunately met course mates who were fellow tech enthusiasts. This really spurred me on to broaden my knowledge on different programming languages.

But where I can really say I came into my own as a developer was during my internship. Being part of teams and building several projects really helped sharpen my knowledge of languages such as Javascript, React, etc. The exciting thing about being a developer is seeing your projects respond the exact same way you designed. It looks like 21st century witchcraft at times.
I'd love to also appreciate my friend Rowland, who urged me to join Hive. It's really a fascinating platform filled with so many opportunities and I'm more than excited to be here.

When I'm not actively working, I unwind most times by watching a lot of football. This really helps me destress, because trust me, coding can be frustrating at times.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your password or keys; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. DO NOT OPEN any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.
