Hello czera, if you feel uncomfortable about doing blogs off the start then comments are a great way to find content, look at and study the articles you like how they are formatted what information they contain without going overboard on the information. Read the comments, then leave your own. By looking at and seeing how a post you like is formed, then that will give you an Idea on how to form your post without being to long or to short.
There are several groups of people/communities that help new user get used to steemit, and try to give a leg up to them. I myself belong to @newbieresteemday, @greetersguild, and @asapers, these are all groups that try to assist new users.
You mention you like Photography, there are a lot of photography groups and photo contest on steemit a couple of photo tags to check #photofeed and #photocontest, it is best to look at the New tab instead of the Trending or Hot tab, those last two are almost always doesn't matter tag are monopolized by whales, or people buying a lot of votes.
There is a huge amount of filipinos on steemit I am sure you will run into them. Be very careful of any tiny URL's used in comments, if a URL takes you away from steemit, be extremely careful when sites ask for your password. I think that is enough for now, if you need help with anything and do not know where to turn you can leave a question for me on any of my post and I will get back to you.
