Great to see you on here Al. Its been a really exciting and transformative journey for me so far and there is so much to come! Now with your introduction to the platform we can officially begin to add Hither and Thither to the many dimensions already being opened up on Steemit :) I don't know a whole lot but Ive been around for a few months now so if you want to ask me anything I can try to be helpful :) x basil

Awesome, thanks Baz! I'm planning to spend some time in some chats tonight. Any suggestions?
well if you're on DISCORD then PAL is good (peace, abundance, libery) . Theres a specific music thread where some cool collaborations have spawned. I personally don't spend a lot of time time there because I find those chat sites do my head in a bit. I probably marginally prefer steemit.chat for usability but again, I havn't used it a whole lot. Someone of your qualities should definitely check out the Steemit OpenMic though. you can enter one track per week and theres a lot of great people and community around it. Follow @Luzcypher. He is the host ;P
Cool, thanks.
I just commented on someone elses thread. How do I get notified of a response?
you have a replies section on your profile page next to comments, blog and wallet and stuff. Its often the first thing I check before looking at the feed
Thanks, I'll check it out. Im used to having my hand held by super slick interfaces on other platforms, Steemit seems to require more effort
definitely. It is in dire need of a makeover.....I think it puts a lot of people off. But once you get to know the basic navigation, its all cool, because really its the community that keeps pulling you back!
heres a link to this weeks openmic https://steemit.com/openmic/@luzcypher/steemit-open-mic-week-70-record-your-performance-and-win-steem-sponsored-by-pfunk-and-luzcypher the rules might feel a bit complex, but once you've done it a couple of times it gets easier. It will be great to have your songs in the mix!
