Hi HIVE! I'm BlauDisS (Bert)

Greetings from the United States, my name is Bert! I'm a music producer (BlauDisS), multi-instrumentalist, and gamer (bertimismaximus). I'm very new to the crypto world - I started really learning about crypto around a month ago when I put some money into BTC/ETH and started mining ETH. I was skeptical about the crypto world, but it seemed like it was getting bigger so I should probably learn about it. As I delved past the big crypto currencies, into concepts such as web3, decentralization, crypto gaming, etc. my interest increased.

I set up my accounts and started playing Splinterlands. I grew up playing Magic the Gathering, and I really liked autochess games and other trading card games (Hearthstone, etc.). The game immediately clicked with me. I was also very fascinated at all of the ways they allow you to interact with card NFTs (trading, renting, ranking up with collection power). I was playing the game so much that my HIVE Resource Credits ran out! I was struggling to understand everything that was going on, and was like "Oh my, another crypto currency I need to learn about???" But the Splinterlands and HIVE communities were REALLY incredible in helping me learn everything.

I started exploring HIVE and found my favorite thing in the world MUSIC! I've been playing sax since I was a kid, and have learned guitar and other instruments since. Around 6 years ago I began producing my own music under the alias BlauDisS. I felt like I really found my calling with music. I've been releasing music for years on the standard platforms (Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud...). But I really don't like promoting my music. It's really dominated by large record labels, spammers, bots, and paid advertising. I've found it really difficult to have genuine connections with other musicians on these platforms. I dream of someday being able to support myself and my growing family (I'm going to be a father in a couple months!) with music alone. That day seems far away - but I'm trying to keep learning and improving every day and every time I create or play!

I found Hive Open Mic and was really happy to see musicians posting and supporting each other! Not just spamming! Then I saw that they were posting on a decentralized video platform, 3speak. All of this was so cool for me - that I picked up my sax and played a track for the Open Mic that same day. Almost immediately, I got really positive feedback and help from @mipiano @senzenfrenz @draysax @lovesniper @indayclara ! I've never had such a warm welcome to a community before!

I want to be a part of building these communities, sharing music, and making friends. If you want to check out my other music content (tracks, music videos, mixes, playlists), here's a link https://fanlink.to/blaudiss
But I hope to be making a lot of new and unique music pieces specific to this environment, outside of the big music corporations and machines! I plan on being active in the music and Splinterlands communities.

I loaded up some HIVE powerups so I can actually respond to people's posts now! Say hi and share your music with me if you'd like!

Perfect, @bertimismaximus for the introduceyourself post!!! Hive can be happy to count on your presence!! 😎

Thanks for the warm welcome and help! I look forward to seeing more of your photography and hearing more piano! Cheers!

Welcome to the Hive community @bertimismaximus!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and publish and do everything except Wallet with the Posting key
  2. Use your Active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, Hivesigner, and Hivelock,
  3. The Owner key and the Master password are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; but copy and store them offline in a safe place,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once, and
  7. Do Not click on any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

Hi! I'm so happy to see more musicians joining Hive. I'm actually a newbie too. 2.5 months! But how it has changed my life? I can't tell enough!

Hope you enjoy this new journey, have lots of fun! And make lots of new friends. Specially musicians here are amazingly supportive, caring and dedicated to what they do. I'd say it's a really safe, comfortable and non-judgemental space for us to grow! 😊 Greetings to your family and a Happy New Year!

Welcome to the community!

Thanks so much draysax! I've been checking out your videos and I really love your style of playing sax. Looking forward to hearing more of your music!

Welcome to hive Bert 👍 as you already guessed your gonna love it here.

Personally I don't play an instrument neither can I sing lol (someone told me once I sounded like a chicken scratching a wall when I sing 🤣🤣🤣) but I do love music so always a pleasure to meet someone who does know what they are doing 😁

Anyways good luck on your new journey on hive and have fun.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome princessj190! I'm loving it here so far. It reminds me of how the internet felt when it was first created, before the big tech companies took over everything. Really excited to be a part of this!
