A bitcoin price drop is long overdue, and I look forward to buying more when I think it's near the bottom of the trough. It'll probably be back. at $7K+, even if it takes a while.
In my youtube video I predict we will be over 10k by spring even with this pull back. I am adding more here as well and will keep adding til we find support :)
The problem is the turmoil within the Bitcoin camp damages the brand. People are looking for somewhere to store their value. Currently, they are turning to DASH. This might be permanent. If you needed somewhere to store a high-value cache, where would you put it? Remember, you need access to it to spend it. Would you put it into DASH? I think all altcoins are in for an interesting week ahead as BTC long-term hodlers and noobs flee the sinking ship. Maybe the sink will halt, but where would you put your money in the meantime? Interesting times ahead.
I think the turmoil will create FUD in the short term but Bitcoin will be able to recover. Each time there is this much drama in the community it's an opportunity for Bitcoin to reaffirm why it is the top cryptocurrenrcy. When the dust settles people who traded their bitcoin for altcoins will chase to get their bitcoin back. Its a good idea to have some exposure to other coins. It all depends on your own personal goals. The altcoins I am interested in, I consider undervalued and expect them to do well over the next couple years.
