Introducing me by introducing others

in #introduceyourself7 years ago

I believe that who we are is greatly defined by the people around us. For that reason, when I introduce myself I won't just be talking about myself. I also think that giving other people credit and praise makes what they do even more enjoyable.

First a little about me

People: "Where are you from?"
Me: "Funny story..."

I'm what you could call a cultural milkshake. My dad is from Sweden, my mom from Colombia and I've grown up all around the world as kind of a missionary kid. I speak Swedish, English, Spanish and Mandarin. This is me now:

I play the drums, sing, started my own coworking space in Bogotá (Colombia) and I love solving problems with AI.

Back to other people

As I said earlier, I strongly believe that who we are is greatly defined by the people around us. Even those we don't know directly.

I also think that giving credit or praise to someone not only honors them but it completes the joy we feel when in awe of what they do.

When we hear an awesome song or see an incredible stunt we don't usually think "I'm going to say something nice about that". We spontaneously burst out: "Woooow, that was awesome!!!!!!!! Hey Mike, you have to come see this right now!!"

What will I be sharing

For this reason, I would like to share with you all the people that I find incredible and, by doing so, enjoy what they do even more. I'll start with some guys many of you maybe know already, I've been following them since their first video on Youtube: Walk off the Earth.

Have you ever spent hours watching the videos of a particular Youtube channel? I do that regularly with these guys. I just can't get enough of their creativity. They mostly do covers of famous songs, but they do it in a way that is musically and visually captivating. Take a look at this one:

I'd love to know what you think

I'm thrilled to know what you think about Walk off the Earth:

  • Do you have a favorite cover?
  • Is it the first time you hear them?
  • Do you know of any other Youtube channels I could enjoy for hours?

It's a subscription based daily upvote bot that draws its power from a delegation pool. I made this post to explain the system in more depth and show how I earn over $1 a day in upvotes.

Bienvenido!
Creo que el primer tema que escuche de Walk off the Earth fue Somebody That I Used to Know, y creo que los ultimos canales que estuve escuchando fueron Mumford And Sons (que seguramente los conoces) y Hang Massive.
Te sigo para ver algo de AI :)
