(take two): Introducing Myself: Who I am and What I Do

I just thought I'd say a few words in introduction. I was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Uniquely enough, I had no vision whatsoever, due to both retinas becoming detached; being born three months too early doesn't lend itself well to harsh medical treatment.
Two years later, however, two things happened. I survived, something that the doctors didn't think was going to happen at all, and the retina in my left eye reattached itself with no scientific reason behind it; to this day, doctors are still trying to figure it out. I've pretty much stopped worrying about it and accepted it as a fact of divine intervention.
I definitely believe that the higher powers have something going for me, though, for after many a journey, from Boston, to Cedar Hill, Texas, and then back to the small town of Billerica, for seventeen years, and finally to Wilmington in 2014, I've found my nitche, I've found a job, and I've found a group of friends who are like an extension of my family. Anyways, I'm pretty happy to be here, and I couldn't ask for more.
My job is just that, a job, but I think the community here will be more interested in the community projects I am a part of; I'm the head of the Stormlighttech project (easiest way to find us right now is via GitHub, and at the moment, we're contributors to the gaming community through open source endeavours. I'll be posting everything up here from information and ideas about technology, to music, to some of the more obscure topics, so keep a lookout after this introductory post. Thanks everyone for reading through this first, and I've intentionally left it opened up for questions, so hit me, and I'll answer what I can.

Thanks guys, follows all around! I realized that I put this one under the wrong initial tag, so I had to re-post it; hence the "take two" designation at the beginning of it. I've got some other random stuff up there as well. Because I'm so prolific and all over the internet, so I think the hardest thing is going to be figuring out where to post what and when. I'm on Twitter, Steemit, GitHub, Utopian, plus my personal blog. I think you guys'll see more up here once my blog is actually up and things are getting posted to it on a regular basis. (just gotta figure out whether the Steemit API can talk to other frameworks such as .NET, but that's another story for another post entirely.)

Your personal blog seems to be down. There is a wordpress plugin for posting to steemit. Let me know if you need the link. It is in the repository on wordpress.org

LOL I know. There's a reason for that, though. We just had a recent migration of equipment from one IP space to another and we've sort of been scrambling to get our important projects back on track; the personal sites are considered extra and on an as-able basis right now. I know about that plugin, and I sure wish that Wordpress wasn't the only one that had it; why I'm trying to run around to see if the API has .net library support. If not, then all I can do is hope for the future with Hive Mind; I want Steem to be available across platforms, frameworks, and languages. I've mentioned that hundreds of times on here.

Welcome to Steemit, I followed you, I hope and you will follow me! ;)
