Howdy!

Howdy everyone! My name is Charlie and I am new to Steemit. I am a current student at Texas A&M University, Fightin Texas Aggie Class of 2020. I am studying Engineering (and in fact I find out if I got admitted to the Aerospace Engineering department tomorrow). I enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting, shooting, fishing, and I enjoy playing sports (even though I'm pretty terrible at some of them). I don't know what exactly I will post on here, but I think it would be a cool introduction to share with the community one of the videos I made with my drone! It's an edit of my friends doing watersports on Lake Travis, in Texas.I wish I could've been in the video but I was flying the drone the whole time :) Anyway, I look forward to my time on this platform!

Feel free to follow, and Thanks and Gig 'Em!!

Thank you! Will do!

Really enjoyed the video. I've been wanting to pickup a drone for the longest but I'm super cheap so havn't done so yet lol. What's a good quality drone yet something priced for an entry level?

I appreciate that! Its only the second edit I've done, and I'll probably post my other edit here in a little bit. Good Question! It really depends on how much you are willing to spend. I have not done a whole lot of research on other brands, but DJI to me stands firmly above the rest in quality. If you are not looking to spend more than about $750, the DJI Phantom 3 Pro is a great choice. All the Phantom drones are incredibly easy to fly, I'd say it only takes a couple days time to really master the controls. If you're willing to spend a little more than that, I would go with either the DJI Mavic Pro or the DJI Phantom 4. Just do some browsing to see what would fit your price point, but pretty much all the DJI drones, P3P and up, are great drones to have :)

Is it worth me trying to save a couple bucks and buy used or have a lot of those been crashed or not taken care of?

It is certainly an option, I know a buddy of mine sold his P3P in great condition with 2 extra batteries for the price of a new P3P. Great condition, never been crashed. Of course, some people will try to screw you over and sell you a crappy one that has been crashed, its just a matter of finding an honest person thats willing to sell to you at a good price. It is certainly an option though if you aren't willing to spend that much! Check out craigslist!
