A short introduction of myself

Welcome to my Steemit article

Good morning everyone, this is the first time I've used Steemit and this is my first post about myself.
My name is Khoa Hon Ngo, I also have a nickname that I named myself, Chris. I was born in Vietnam. If you know about Ho Chi Minh City, which was formerly known as Saigon, that is my hometown. I have spent 17 years living in Saigon and I love my hometown so much although there has been some issues emerging in recent years: tremendously flooded when there is a heavy shower; and crazily overcrowded with streams of motorcycles rolling on streets everyday; etc. If you are enjoying long vacations, I recommend you travel to Saigon once to experience the melting-pot of Vietnam.

Photo of myself, I am not looking so good on photo!!
About myself, I am now studying as an international student in Australia. Adelaide is the city where I am living now, a small city that I guarantee a lot of people have no idea about because Melbourne and Sydney are always on first row when talking about. My achievement at school is not really bad, I am expecting to graduate this year at the age of 19. At this point, you might think why I get out of school so late. Well there were some issues when I was transferring to Australia, that I have to re-enter grade 11 for a year. Thank God I am finally able to get on the next step in my life.
I have some future plans in my head now. After graduation, I will enroll in a college to study Logistic and Supply Chain Management because I see significant potential in this area and its role for the economy of a country. Honestly speaking, I once thought about being a teacher, but I immediately looked at my ability and soon abandoned that idea . I am not good at speaking in front of people, teaching while hundreds couples of eyes looking me could be described as sitting on fire in my perspective. Anyway, I will do what I can to succeed on the path I have chosen. Be consistent and solid, they are quality I have to forge everyday in order to reach great achievements.

My hobby is mundane and there is nothing special to mention about it. I lost my interest in games a long time ago, so I am quite bored recently. Basically, I like watching movies, reading comic books and learning languages when I have free time. I also watch some news to improve English and learn more about what is happening around the world. You know, the trade war between America and China is about to begin and I am curious what the outcome will be.

A great war is about to on fire, who will stand firmly and who will fall to the abyss

Reason why I come to Steemit

I learnt about Steemit from a Facebook post not so long ago. It mentions this is a fair playground to practice freedom of speech without fear of being removed by the platform owners just because my opinions do not fit their agendas. I looked at Steemit and found it interesting. I was like: ''Cool, now I can do what I have no gut to do before, which is writing an article''. I think you still remember that I want to work in Logistic field, but I also have interest in politics too and hope that one day I am able to publish a political article. My main focus will be be Vietnam's politics. As far as we know, Vietnam is being corroded by corrupt politicians, but sadly not many Vietnamese care about it because they are living in terror and persecution made by the government to stop people spreading the truth. Furthermore, I can get some earnings if I spend some time and effort to work on writing a polishing and catching articles, but that is not the point. The most important thing for me, however, is to finding a right place to practice and gain experience apart from studying full-time. I really want to prove myself that I am not useless but having hidden potentials to escape from the cage, to progress further.

This is the end of my introduction. English is not my mother language, there might be some grammatical errors in this article. I will try my best to improve that issue. There is one more thing I would like to say. I am planning to write a travel guide for my next project on Steemit, which will take place in Adelaide. Wait and check it out!!
It is nice to meet you here!! Hope you have a good time!!!
Thank you for watching!!

Hello chriswu1999! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!

That's not a short introduction at all but I enjoyed the read :)

I was once in Adelaide as an exchange student too, it's a pretty nice place to live, not too crowded and is a developed place at the same time. It was just a two week exchange but I still want to go there for a second time (read: I want to enjoy cooler weather there during autumn and winter because there is no such thing in Malaysia).

Steemit is quite a nice place to shower your thoughts, no one can stop your from that, but just a reminder that you cannot take down anything after you hit that post button :) no regrets posting anything!

Have fun on Steemit :)

Haha, thank you very much. It is so cold here in Adelaide. I am going to write a travel guide about how to get to Glenelg (if you remember). Wait and check it out. It is school holidays now so staying at home is quite boring. I will take this time to take some photos and post them to my blog.
Btw, have fun on Steemit too!
