Hey guys, I used to be on Steem 3 years ago. I forgot my old account so I made a new one on hive.
I poured like $4000 into dcity cuz it seemed fun. I will probably make a few posts about it once I get over my laziness.
I didn't want to use my selfie so I drew a self-portrait so you guys know what I look like. It's about 30% accurate but good enough IMO.
Please lobby for higher war tax in dcity so that i can get rich.
Anyway, if anyone could link some good resources that could be helpful for a beginner to learn about hive, that would be amazing and I would appreciate it a lot.
Thanks in advance.
Hi and welcome to hive new acc of @crypto-is-a-scam :D
Welcome sir!
May I say that I think your investment is a solid one! I myself did a similar thing last march, and with light stealing am almost getting by month to month today. Thanx to my dCity investments, I used to have to rely on hardcore prostitution and other violations to my body... and soul, to get by.
dCity for a better tomorrow...
Eythorphoto.... or even this guy the OP as next dCity president!!!!!!!! YAY!

LOL, @crypto-is-a-scam! Quite the introduction. And while you're not exactly new, I'll drop my usual "welcome to Hive" newbie message below, which has some of those resources you're looking for.
This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better (again...lol). For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member -
Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community.
Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities. Based on what you wrote, I think you might like these to start off with -
Hive Gaming Community
LeoFinance
Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide should be helpful to you, as it is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.
Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.
Since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.
For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your expanded intro post. Also, please mention (also known as tagging) @traciyork & @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Lastly, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
Do you get these snippets as part of lovesniper's gold membership or something ? You should maybe change these once in a while 😅
What do you think needs changing, @appukuttan66? And I'm not being sassy, I actually would appreciate feedback. We do have a template (obvs) that we work off of, but each @lovesniper can add/subtract stuff as needed. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear 'em. 😊
It's just that saying the exact same thing to every single new user makes the comment look "spammy" ..... IMHO it's better to keep the "points" but do all the writting part by hand =)
In theory I absolutely get what you're saying @appukuttan66, but it's been difficult to implement in practice. While writing a personal welcome to each and every one would be wonderful, we've mostly been doing the loose template thing (adjusted whenever needed) and adding personal touches when we can, because of how much work is involved in this right now.
For example, my latest @lovesniper shift had close to 100 posts to check out, with only 24 hours to do so (because of the new Hive curation window). After doing plagiarism checks, disregarding spam & alt accounts, and other such things, I ended up dropping almost 50 replies. 😯
Oh, and we also do our best to keep an eye on the LS feed and respond/answer questions that come in after our initial visit.
I'm hopeful that as the community continues to grow, so will the team, giving us more time to make less "spammy" comments.
And on behalf of the LS team, thank you for the feedback - it's appreciated. 😊
😬😬 .... maybe you guys don't have do all this on your own ... just put the notifications in a public chat channel or smthng and any one free during that time could check it out and react with a 👍 to mark them as done ... could be waayy easier this way 😕
Might be easier, but probably not nearly as effective. And honestly there's really not too many different ways you can say, "here are the resources you need" to people, especially when oftentimes you're replying to a screenshot and a line of text.
However, it's easy for the community to follow Love Sniper's comment feed and add their own personal messages to new arrivals. Maybe if enough people started doing so, we might be in a position to change things up a bit... 🤔
