Welcome to Steemit, hope you will enjoy your time here! Your interests align a lot with my own. There are a lot of us technogeeks in the Steemit community. What kind of programming do you do and what languages? I'm a C++ guy myself, though I also dabble in Java and Scala from time to time. And anyone who's into D&D gets a thumbs up from me! Been years since I've actually played it though.

I work with the QAD Cloud ERP system (formerly QAD MFG/PRO) programming using the Progress Software Corporation's Fourth Generation Language (4GL). It was nice to find I still remembered the basics after more then a decade of doing graphic design and no programming.
It is good that you remembered the basics and were able to pick it up again without too much trouble. I find that I tend to forget stuff fast if I don't use it for a while; my brain is geared more towards short term memory. Luckily my friend Google is always by my side to remind me of forgotten syntax, etc as needed, so I don't have to lug around all those reference manuals I employed in my youth. ;-)
