Hi Lindsey! Thanks for "plunging" — you will probably enjoy Steemit a lot more now that you have introduced yourself.
Forgive my ignorance and curiosity, but what do you mean by "online truth community"?
Cheers, and all the best!

So the "online truth community" is a collection of people who are all seekers of truths that are hidden. So basically what you would call "conspiracy theorists" a few years ago are now called "truthers" because we have been proven right so many times lol On facebook, there was a meme going around called a "friendbomb" a few years ago and people would comment "add me" and then you would go though all the comments and add the people. Most of them were truthers, a lot were anonymous, and there were also plenty of anarchists. A lot of us are still friends (imagine 456 mutuals with half your friendslist--or something in that ballpark) so it was a very comfortable space for us for a long time. Then Trump got elected and all of the political people came out in droves and turned it into the battleground that it is now. There is still an online truth community, they just seem to be slowly moving here to Steemit.
Thanks for the explanation. I used to congratulate my ability to peg which conspiracy theories had a chance of plausibility and which were just barking mad. Then I personally witnessed an "incident" (on Good Friday 2011) proving I shouldn't be so sure where to draw the line. So now I can only wonder.
