Steampunk Photography Model Arrives on Steemit

I would first like to apologize for my failure to introduce myself earlier. I was new, naive, and eager to start posting to your fantastic website. But, all serious business aside, I would like to formally introduce myself to the website.

I am a 28 year old sailor, who was assigned to Japan almost two years ago. Once I moved here, I started to notice that steampunk fashion and photography were major sources of entertainment in the area. Needless to say I wasted no time in organizing a group of like minded individuals to pursue this endeavor.

I managed to start out with a few people from my workplace, and the group quickly grew beyond my original expectations. Currently the group is experiencing a small hiatus as we prepare for different projects, but here is the original group:

We hosts a few events throughout the year in which we visit the streets of Japan to act silly with tourist

Other times we visit cafe's like the infamous Owl No Mori in Akihabara:

We try to be at major cosplay events to raise awareness and let others know that we are here to look fancy and spread cheer everywhere.
Like Tonacos:

Even Comiket:

Other times, we're hired for photoshoots by up-and-coming photographers that are in the area (pro-bono of course).

But, of course, it's mostly for the ladies:

There is a real reason why I appreciated the opportunity to host The International Association of Fancy Tea Parties. I never really felt comfortable pursuing the more "geekier" endeavors in the mainland United States, but over here the scene is a lot more commonplace. Japanese folks that participate in these events won't typically judge any foreigners trying to get in on the fun especially when the rules are being followed, and trust me, there are some major guidelines for cosplay in Japan.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask! I'm typically available throughout the day. Also, feel free to look us up on Facebook for a look at all our pictures!

Looking forward to more @dashthebomber! Welcome to Steemit :)

Thank you! Typically during every major event in Japan you'll see a burst of pictures running around. I love doing this, and cosplay is a big passion for me.

Glad to see you here on Steemit, @dashthebomber. Cool pics.
