I am terrible at making connections.
I didn't get a steem account just to start a blog. I was rather driven by the idea of making some easy quick bucks and revamp my life a little bit. It has taken me only 30 days to let the steem blockchain change the color of my fellings from a bright blue enthusiasm to a nearly dark red disappointment. You bet guys, money really has power.
Now the craziness is over, things are becoming clear.
I have come to understand how important it is to focus on making connections with people rather to focus on getting quick rewards. All is not obliged to turn around the money after all. Money is just an incentive to encourage quality posts, but the connections made through posts are the best part of the adventure. That's my opinion.
I choose to stay on Steem. I'll be posting regularly from now on. So be prepared if you are a follower (chances are pretty good that you are not one yet, that's ok).

Good to hear that you will stay.
But I can also understand your feelings, I‘m also a little disappointed that so many bots on here try to make some bucks and I feel like as a regular person it’s hard to reach out to people.
Sometimes I wonder how many people besides my friends actually read the content.
But to me sharing a bunch of stories is fun and if it’s just one person that read my post, then I already accomplished something.
Who knows what this good for in the long run.
I hope you also don’t lose the motivation.

Seven suggestions:
1. guard your passwords carefully, and only post with the posting key,
2. only use your active key for wallet transactions,
3. Master password is only for resetting new passwords,
4. do NOT lose your passwords; copy and store off line,
5. Don't post other people's work, whether photos or written without credit,
6. An introduceyourself post is one time only, and
7. when you open up your steemit.com, up in the upper right corner of the page are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a whole lot of reading material that will help you.
