my first introduction was bad, so I will try again

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Like the picture suggests I woke up one day, and decided I was fed up with working for corporations, that if I died would replace me in 1 day without looking back.

I have worked for many car companies in the quality and engineering departments.
At Land Rover I worked nights, and was expected to answer my works phone in the day, when I was sleeping, even answering the phone while in the shower before work to answer the gate security, who were calling about a parts supplier visit,
they always want the extra mile from me, and never give me any respect.
So I gave it all up, and moved from the UK to Poland, to restore motorbikes as and when I wanted to, and raise a daughter who is 6 in safety and not in fear in Birmingham.

The steemit community looks amazing, I have so much to learn here, I am desperately trying to shift my mentality away from the facebook mentality of a few line posts, and I know I will.

After only two weeks here, I have noticed how brilliant some of you are at writing, and at putting across a message in valuable ways, not value in money, more quality of posts.

It will take me some time to adapt to being as good as you at this, I will say this though, I will endeavour to do my best,
and I look forward to being here for a long time.

My 1 regret is not finding steemit and you all sooner, also joining while a fight seems to be going on over people raping rewards etc all of this I still do not fully understand.

I travel a lot round the world, and will try to add some culture posts here, some motorbike restoration posts, some raw life posts, as life is varied, and no 1 single thing can sum life up.

Any advice on my posts or on how steemit works better, are greatly welcome, as are constructive criticism of my posts or post style.

I am glad I found steemit, and all of you people, may 2018 be our year, all of us.

My advice:

  1. Keep meeting people, especially in the comments section.

  3. Learn how to use Markdown to format your posts.

Happy 2018 and keep Steeming!
