I am still newbie myself. But from what I understand it's the steem power that is considered having stock in the company. I recently earned a few steem dollars. I wanted to test the the theory.
I found that if you go into your steem wallet and you click on the tab next to steem dollars you can transfer steem dollars for steem power.
If you click on transfer
Then you click on generate address. It will then give you an address that you can cut and paste. Once you have the address you have to go back into your wallet on the steem site and click on the tab next to steam dollars and once again click transfer . it will send you to block trades. On the Block trades you can decide exactly how much steem dollars you want to trade for steem power. After you fill in how much of what you want to trade and for what you want to receive. Then you write in your steem name in the address bar. In your case you would write @perdro.
I was a little nervous the first time I did it . Which is why I only did one steem dollar, but the trade went through and I received my steem power. I'm not sure if the increase in steem powee made a difference but I tried anyways. Lol
There are a few good steem articles on trading for steem. Hope you found this useful.
I know you can trade Bitcoins for Steem but I have never done that. This time it will ask you the account to which you want to transfer. In the oven the slot you type in @blocktrades and in the memo you cut and paste the address that you received from the Block trades site.
Once you hit transfer. You will be prompted to enter your steemit password. Then it will send @blocktrades your steem dollars and a few minutes later blocktrades will send you your steem power.
thank youuu soo much this really help a lot
No problem I found myself asking the same question.
Also there is an article by @scroger that I recently read and re-esteemed that gives an explanation of steem power. I found out very insightful. I'm still in the process of figuring out how to apply it. I think you'll find it equally insightful. It's on my blog as a reesteem. Check it out.
