Hello Shayne, my name is Nicola and I'm a Kiwi. I've been on Steemit for a couple of weeks now and I am really enjoying it.
I'm a mum to my 8 month old baby girl and am planning on staying home with her. I used to work in IT, but thankfully we are in a position as a family where I can stay home with her and watch her grow.
I used to have heaps of interests (fitness, outdoors, biking/hiking, reading, movies etc) but I've found that I'm really only interested in my wee girl at the moment. I'm sure I'll get back to being myself over time. However, I'm enjoying her too much to care right now!
I was drawn to following your posts due to a post you did on peaceful parenting. That's how I'm trying to raise my wee girl. I've since found many of your posts interesting too so am happy to be following you.
Thanks for getting the community involved. That's why I like it here. I'm way more into inclusive and supportive things and this is the first social media site where I'm involved and feel like I have a voice, instead of just adding to the noise.
P.S. I haven't yet figured out how to add a photo to a comment. I'm writing from my phone while my girl is having a nap on me!
