pasta con ceci as way of introduction

Hello Steemit community,so i thought it time to present myself, and i thought i would do so with a fine February recipe of chic peas with pasta (pasta e ceci)
So my name is Ed. I am a Canadian/Irish man just over the fifty mark. Have lived a wonderful life ,with no regrets,and am thankful for the friends and family that surround me, and what i have become as a person.
I spent 9 years busking around the this planet,and met my Italian wife around 1991, while busking the streets of Italy and have been here since. I like to challenge myself on a daily basis, which i see as a form of travelling. This includes Buddist retreats,spelelogical adventures,jumping from airplanes, marathons and alcoholic binges sometimes lasting years.
Now, i like to dedicate any free time to learning new things. Today is about cooking.
Pasta e ceci - bear with me - here goes.
First step, soak 700 grams of dried chic peas in water for at least 24 hours (changing water occasionaly)
Next day i collected some fresh sage (7 leaves), a branch of Rosemary,then added three cloves of garlic,some celery,two carrots, and some fresh chili.
Stuck all in a blender.
Put contents in frying pan to slowly cook with some virgin olive oil.

Chic peas in a pressure cooker, high heat until whistles, then lowest heat for 20 minutes, then turn off gas and leave to continue cooking.
Now add a tin of tomatoes to your goodies in the frying pan and simmer on low heat.

When chic peas are ready do not drain water. Open pressure cooker and take out just over half of chic peas and pass through blender.
Add the puree that you'll get to your frying pan stirring all the time to make more liquid.

Then add the rest of the whole chic peas and the amount of water to achieve the required density.
Add a pasta, preferably of all different dimensions. Maltagliati are wonderful (150 grams more or less)
Add salt to suit, and cook for another half hour under a low flame.

Serve with freshly grated parmesan cheese,virgin olive oil, and chili powder.
