Hello, beautiful people of the internet.. thank you so much for being here!
My name is Tyler, and welcome to my first 'official' post on Steemit.. ♥
I'd like to keep this one as short & sweet as possible - so let's begin! ☺
1. Who Am I? -
I'm a 'free-spirited' amateur photographer / video producer from the US who enjoys using his artwork as a tool to create & share a unique perspective of the universe with others!
2. Why Am I Here? -
To put it simply.. I can no longer believe in any the "normal" social media platforms - like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc. - and I sure as hell can't trust any of them with my information or content, either!
I feel like Steemit, Steepshot & Dtube will prove themselves to be amazing, worth-while alternatives to the sites I just mentioned - crypto is a plus!
3. What type of camera / software(s) do you use? -
As far as cameras go, I mostly use the Panasonic Lumix G7 right now (which I bought with BTC profits) - & I've used the GoPro Hero 4 in the past to capture some pretty amazing long exposure shots!
Some of the programs that I use to edit are - Sony Vegas Pro 12 (video) & Photoshop CS3 / GIMP (photo)..

There are lots of photo contests and I think that is a great way to build your account and connections with other people.
And if you get stuck, film some skateboarders and use the steemskate tag, and you will def find some support from the skateboarders here!!

You should also check out DTube and DSound for starters and if you're a gamer, Steem Monsters! There are many other cool apps but I can't list them all here, there's just too many! Seven suggestions:
1. guard your passwords carefully, and only post with the posting key,
2. only use your active key for wallet transactions,
3. Master password is only for resetting new passwords,
4. do NOT lose your passwords; copy and store off line,
5. Don't post other people's work, whether photos or written without credit,
6. An introduceyourself post is one time only, and
7. when you open up your steemit.com, up in the upper right corner of the page are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a whole lot of reading material that will help you.
I found you because @xcountytravelers and @brittandjosie of @heyhaveyamet featured and promoted your post to get more exposure and help you grow quicker.
